For indoor/outdoor large area coverage a typical installation with the capability to cover audience sizes of 1000-1500 persons would use two loudspeaker stacks, each using four V218PP bass loudspeakers using an HPLS6 for high power mid/high frequency main audience coverage and an additional pair of MPLS 6 loudspeakers to provide good front area coverage. The loudspeaker load impedances have been arranged to allow the MPLS 6 units to be connected directly to the HPLS 6 loudspeakers on each stack in order to present a comfortable 4 ohm load to the Mid/High power amplifier.

All of the Logic Systems line source loudspeakers are primarily intended for ‘flat floor’ applications where large areas can be covered evenly with minimum excitation of floor and ceiling reflections. The cylindrical audio wave-front produced by these loudspeakers means that the sound level only decreases by 3dB each time the distance from the loudspeaker is doubled giving good coverage distances before the cylindrical properties are lost. For example the HPLS 4 has a range of 20 metres, the HPLS 6 is 40 metres and the HPLS 8 is 80 metres.
